CEREC Crowns

I stand by the CEREC crowns system and I am very proud to be able to offer it to my patients. If you have ever been through the hassle and multiple visits that getting a dental crown made in the past created, you are in for a very pleasant surprise with us. One visit and you’re done. The CEREC system will map the placement, shape and structure of the crown that needs to be built and then build the crown from materials stronger than your original teeth. I have specialized CEREC training to make sure that the power of this custom-built crown technology is used to its most complete structural and aesthetic capabilities for every patient.

Using CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing), your mouth is scanned precisely and the information on what needs to be built is passed to the CEREC Milling Machine. It then custom manufactures your crown to extremely exact measurements. We can then insert the CEREC crown in place and you leave with a brighter smile and a crown that is stronger than your natural teeth.

The CEREC crown system is sometimes referred to a “single visit dentistry” or “one visit dentistry” and that certainly is a real advantage from the patient perspective. But from my perspective as a dentist it makes my job A LOT easier. In the past, a crown meant writing a lot of notes for the lab, extensive X-rays, a long wait and often the lab didn’t do a “perfect” job, which started the process over again and meant a longer wait for my patients. Now, I know I can get a perfect outcome every single time for every one of my patients. And that makes for a very happy dentist.
